Charlie Kaufman’s dreamlike adaptation of Iain Reid’s psychological horror novel makes for intriguing viewing, using the language of cinema to introduce a critique of our obsession with both entertainment and outside validation into a story already brimming with existential despair. In episode 153, Luke & James do their best to interpret this impressionist work of art.
